Instructions

Things You'll Need

  • Thread
  • Curved sewing needle used for leather
    • 1

Remove the saddle bags from the motorcycle and bring them indoors to be worked on.

    • 2

Inspect and trim and frayed threads that are visible. Take your time and be sure not to cut into the leather or any other of the detailing on the saddle bags.

    • 3

Pull 12 to 18 inches of the appropriate colored thread off of its spool and thread it onto the curved sewing needle.

    • 4

Lift the top of the saddle bag, reach inside and carefully thread the needle through the hole.

    • 5

Pull on the needle so it and the thread come through the correct hole. When all the way through, feed the needle through the next hole and repeat the process until finished.

    • 6

Place the saddle bags back onto the Harley Davidson motorcycle and you are ready to hit the road.
